Seleka Muñoz: Pioneer of Andalusian Graffiti and Contemporary Artist
Seleka Muñoz (Seville, 1982) began painting graffiti on the streets of his hometown in 1993, at the age of 10. Today, he transcends the figure of a graffiti artist to establish himself as a cultural agitator, curator, gallery owner, and artist who has played a fundamental role in the development of graffiti in Andalusia. He is a co-founder of Delimbo Gallery, located in the Seville neighborhood of La Encarnación, a space recognized for its support of urban and contemporary art .
Self-taught, Seleka belongs to a generation of committed, active, innovative, and relevant artists. He emerged as a key figure in the Spanish graffiti scene in the late 90s and early 2000s, leaving an indelible mark on the history of Andalusian graffiti. His work has been seen in cities across Spain, France, England, Portugal, Italy, the United States, Mexico, and Morocco .
In his studio, he immerses himself in the world of traditional oil and canvas painting, supported by a strong self-taught academic knowledge.
