

Rob Woodcox is an art photographer and film director currently living between Mexico and the United States. His work captures fragments of life woven from reality, memory, and dream, with each concept reflecting his personal experience and aiming to tell a meaningful story to every viewer.
Rob’s dedication to visual art extends to advocacy, amplifying voices and raising awareness on topics such as the U.S. foster system, adoption, queer identity, body neutrality, racial equality, and environmental justice. Having been adopted and frequently interacting with the foster care system, Rob approaches his work from a unique perspective, finding hope in human connection and the ability to overcome societal challenges.
He has taught thousands of students across six continents, 15 countries, and 35 cities. His work has been featured in major publications and gallery exhibitions, and he has created commercial projects for clients including Universal Pictures, Apple, and Capitol Records. In 2020, he published his first photographic art book, Bodies of Light.
In 2021, Rob debuted as a film director with We Are Molecular, in collaboration with Dr. Barbara Sturm and the Royal Ballet in London. He directed his first music video, Spiral, with Ry X in 2022. His short film Honey to the Moon is currently circulating in international festivals. Rob’s photographic and film work is seen in museums and festivals worldwide, and he continues to pursue new personal and client creative projects.
In 2025, Rob Woodcox was awarded the prestigious Erarta Prize at the Zona Maco Art Fair for his photograph Otherworld, recognized by public vote as the standout piece of the fair.
