This weekend, Madrid is filled with countless free plans. We recommend several: an antique toy and vintage items fair in Pinto; a curious exhibition at Casa de Vacas; a fair brimming with old and rare books in Recoletos; and an esoteric fair in Chamartín.
Espacio Diario has published a press release about the exhibition Raíces by Elena Gual, which can be visited until October 27 at the Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas. This exhibition, presented by the international art gallery Arma Gallery, reflects the Andalusian roots of the Mallorcan artist.
Comprising around 30 works, Raíces captures the essence and spirit of Elena Gual’s cultural heritage. “Inspired by my ancestors and the vibrant Andalusian tradition, I have created a series that fuses the past with the present, exploring themes of identity and heritage,” explains the artist. Using a palette knife painting technique, Gual creates textures and layers that add a unique visual richness to her portraits of women.
Arena Martínez, director of Arma Gallery, highlights the profound impact that Elena’s works have on the audience. This exhibition is an exceptional opportunity to appreciate Gual’s talent and the emotional connection she establishes with her viewers.
