Noticias Retiro has published a press release about the exhibition Raíces by artist Elena Gual, taking place from October 3 to 28. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy around thirty works that reflect the Andalusian roots of the Mallorcan artist, known for her striking portraits of women created with a palette knife.

Gual, trained at the Academy of Art in Florence, explores three-dimensionality through textures and volumes, using the palette knife as her central tool after an accident that prevented her from using a paintbrush. Her work addresses themes such as femininity, identity, and empowerment, blending tradition with modernity. The exhibition will be held at Casa de Vacas in Parque del Buen Retiro from October 4 to 27, 2024.
