ABC: “Juana González: la mano piensa… Y siente”

Francisco Carpio has written a feature for ABC on Manos de hacer, Juana González’s exhibition at ARMA Gallery. In the article, Carpio highlights the strength and distinctive character of her figurative painting, defined by a powerful use of colour, dynamic compositions and a dreamlike quality that moves between Surrealism and Expressionism. He also points to González’s ability to construct scenes that suggest open-ended narratives, charged with tension, emotion and mystery.

At the heart of the exhibition is the symbolic role of hands as tools for creation, communication and transformation, capable not only of materialising ideas but also of conveying feelings and experiences. A reflection that takes on particular relevance in an increasingly digital world, and which gives the article its title: “Juana González: the hand thinks… And feels.”
