PAC has released a press note regarding the exhibition Raíces by painter Elena Gual, showcased at the Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas in Retiro from October 3 to 28. This exhibition, organized by Arma Gallery, features around thirty works that reflect the Andalusian roots of the Mallorcan artist. Gual, who has found the palette knife to be her primary tool after an allergy accident prevented her from using a brush, explores three-dimensionality through textures and volumes in her portraits of women.

The exhibition addresses themes such as identity and empowerment, merging tradition with modernity. Arena Martínez, director of Arma Gallery, emphasizes the emotional impact Gual’s work has on viewers. Attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Andalusia, presented in a contemporary and vibrant manner.
